I came upstairs to my office to work. But first I checked in here and saw alwayshope’s suggestion to take a look at the episodes. So I did and started with #70 instead of #1. Why I went that way I don’t know. I served in Vietnam…by the time Horace put his hand on the Wall, I was crying, and it didn’t get better from there.

Now, the thought of working is a distant memory…I have to go for a walk…work will have to wait.

Here’s a question for all elected officials or those running for office, especially those on the federal level: “Do you think that incarcerating suspected terrorists for indefinite periods without trials or conviction is acceptable?” I got this question from Karen Greenberg, the Executive Director of the Center on Law and Security at New York University. by way of TomDispatch.

A student at the University of British Columbia mentioned in a different context that he doesn’t believe democracy exists at the federal level in the U.S.

I’ve been reading too much today. I cried my eyes out as I read this. I still need to process it. The Viet nam war is something very difficult for me.

I’ve also been reading Scott Ritter and Naomi Wolfe and my hair is on fire.
Maybe my tears will keep it from spreading. Can’t make any sense now so I’m going to think about all this for a while and maybe talk a walk and clear my head. I may walk all the way to the “wall” but maybe not, just typing it made my hands shake.
Some days nothing makes sense, seems real or holds hope. This is one of those days.
Someone needs to buy me a beer.
