Will Rove Get Away With Murder?
Really, what’s there left for him to do without facing any consequences for his actions?
He’s been connected with an endless stream of unethical, immoral and illegal activities since his first days in politics and never been sent to jail or held accountable. Now, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Rove’s attorney says Rove is not going to be indicted in the Plame leak case:
Karl Rove, longtime chief political adviser to President Bush and mastermind of campaign strategies for the Republican Party, will not face any charges as a result of the leak of a CIA operative’s identity, according to Rove’s private attorney.
And it’s as clear as Cheney’s sneer that Rove is guilty. Yet, he manages to squeak out of trouble again.
I’ve got my fingers crossed that this is a pre-emptive propaganda hit from Rove, something to deflect from the current detestable set of issues making Americans uneasy with Bush and his lack of governmental acumen. Perhaps it’s a part of the overall Zarqawi major public relations and propaganda tour and that something more disastrous is coming down the pike for the “Bald Evil”?
Of course, if nothing does come down the proverbial pike, we can at least look forward to a possible civil suit, courtesy of Joe and Valerie.

BTW, if you consider Rove one of the architects behind the Iraq war, so far, he actually has gotten away with murder.

I’ve read his comments and think they are insignificant. Although Ann is disgusting, I think this kind of nit-picking isn’t productive.

He’s laughing at democracy. at decency. at justice.
Yes, he’s a murderer, a thief, a liar, a traitor and yet, he is still in a position to effect the outcome of our elections. He is so evil. I am so pissed.
Is there no justice in my country anymore?

The Lee Atwater protege will meet his downfall sooner or later. Mean people who spend their lives hurting other people get their due. Lee got brain cancer and died begging forgiveness of all the people whose lives he destroyed. As much as we want Rove’s head on a stick now, it will happen in time. Doesn’t keep the steam from pouring out of my ears but it gives me hope.

Well said, Nuffera.
“What you reap is what you sow.”
Karl will get his. And so will the rest of them.

Joe Wilson doesn’t strike me as the kind of person to quit. I think the civil suit is a real possibility with, perhaps, a lot of publicity in the meantime.
