I’m rooting for Edwards too, Steve, for the very same reasons.
His message resonates because of the truth in it and because it exposes the injustice and inequality that is tearing us apart. That inequality needs to be front and center and, like you, I fear it will disappear without Edwards.

I also hope Edwards wins in Iowa. I like his populist stand. Does anyone know anything about “Judicial Watch”? It is a group that promotes integrity, transparency and accountability in government, politics and the law. Is it a large group? Prestigious? Well-known in political circles? Anyway, it just announced it’s list of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2007. Here is the list. You can go to http://www.judicialwatch.org to read the comments: 1. Hillary Clinton 2. Rep. John Conyers 3. Senator Larry Craig. 4. Senator Diane Feinstein 5.Rudy Giuliani 6. Gov. Mike Huckabee 7. I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby 8.Senator Barack Obama 9. Rep. Nancy Pelosi 10. Sen. Harry Reid It is a bipartisan list. The one that saddened me was Barack Obama. I had hoped for better things from him. I suppose there is no such creature as a truly clean politician with genuine personal integrity. I know Hillary Clinton is not one; and the rest on the list are not suprising. This should appear in newspapers around the country, but it sure wasn’t published in the Indianapolis Star. I assume this group could not publish their comments without hard evidence. They could be sued, couldnt they? Makes me long for Al Gore more than ever. How different this country might be now, if the election had not been stolen from him. I just watched “An Inconvenient Truth” It was only shown in the Keystone Art Theater here and I missed it. I asked for the DVD for Christmas. My youngest daughter gave it to me. The scientific evidence for Global Warming is irrefutable. The oncoming consequences will be horrendous. The moral depravity of the Bush Adm. and Congress for not acting immediately and strongly is horrifying. And, that monster Cheney directs the EPA to stand in the way of states that want stricter fuel standards! Is there no end to that beast’s viciousness and destructiveness?!

With one third of the country living at double the poverty level or lower, it is very important to keep our eyes focused on this issue! I am not only rooting for John Edwards in Iowa, I am rooting for John Edwards.

I, too, am rooting for Edwards for the long haul. I’d hate to see lip service paid to these issues for the campaign, only to be completely forgotten after the election.
