A small bit of justice: Mary Cheney’s book tanks
Poor Mary Cheney (or perhaps it’s poor Simon & Schuster, which reportedly paid her a $1 million advance). It seems that even calling John Kerry a “son of a bitch” and John Edwards a “total slime” wasn’t good enough to sell her book.
(The Advocate, via Huffington Post) Mary Cheney’s book sells fewer than 6,000 copies since release
Despite saturation media coverage when it was published a month ago, Mary Cheney’s book Now It’s My Turn has tanked at bookstores. Published by a conservative imprint of Simon & Schuster, the memoir has sold fewer than 6,000 copies to date, according to Nielsen Bookscan.
The book’s sales have declined in each of the four weeks since its release, to only 574 copies sold for the week ending June 3. That’s 77% fewer than its first-week sales of 2,445.

I wonder what Cheney’s approval rating is now? Evidently, no one wants to read Mary chirping on about how Daddy Dearest is such a nice guy, ‘when you get to know him’. Since he keeps most everything a BIG SECRET, there is little chance to get to know him anyway. Plus, I wouldnt go near the man when he is armed. Mary is obviously one of the Republican’s top poster queen’s for Hypocrisy. Few would pay good money to read her justification of the bad mess the Republicans have made of the country. We all figure Halliburton is picking up the tab for Mary, and her trust fund is in good order.

Just who did they think would buy it? The righties wouldn’t touch that gay thing with a ten foot pole and lefties don’t give a rat’s behind about Mary Cheney. Maybe Ann Coulter bought a few copies to pass out to all the “gay” people who protest her slimey speeches.
