This certainly looks good . . .

It seems our Turkish allies are invading our Kurdish allies, because Kurdish separatists have been using the land to stage raids into Turkey.

Thank God, this is a region where the players can be neatly divided between absolute evil and absolute good, as our beloved Commander in Chief has so often assured us.  Otherwise, things might sometimes get, well, kind of messy over there.

(AP) Turkish officials: troops enter Iraq

Several thousand Turkish troops crossed into northern Iraq early Wednesday to chase Kurdish guerrillas who operate from bases there, Turkish security officials told The Associated Press.

Two senior security officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media, said the raid was limited in scope and that it did not constitute the kind of large incursion that Turkish leaders have been discussing in recent weeks.

It’s official: The discussion over whether George W. Bush is the worst president in US history is now over.  The new topic for discussion is whether Bush is the worst head of state ever to hold office in any democratic nation in the history of the world.

Update:The story may not be true.  The underlying point of the post, of course, still is.
