To tell the truth, I’m quite depondent. I’ve lost faith in my government. & I’ve lost faith in humanity as a whole.

P.S. I do still have the tiniest tatterd shred of hope, but not much.

Prepare for the worst; expect the best - Hannah Arendt

btw - her writings are very “up to date” - about mathematics as “queen of sciences”, about personal responsibility against social conformity and about thinking/awareness as condition to avoid doing evil

but excuse me, Steve, you forgot something: the intensified attack on the “Climate Chance Swindle” to avoid any action, which might have a chance to save some lives…

you know: species which don’t care about individuals, can afford stupidity (including war)

but too much stupidity means loss of too many individuals - that is a risk for each and every species…

Do you feel like the world’s falling apart?

aka trying everything to commit suicide?

the answer is “Yes” - feel like living in a Science Fiction story about a world of lemmings, running eagerly to the Abyss…

    but to repeat:

Prepare for the worst; expect the best - Hannah Arendt

I said back in ‘06, when Bush lost Congress, that the next two years would be a rough ride. They are. All those rumors about Bush pounding his chest and ranting:”I’m the President! I’m the President!” are most likely true. He definitely has a bunker mentality. He has neither wisdom nor intelligence. He is a stubborn, spoiled narcissist. None of this bodes well. The Democrats in Congress remain spaghetti spines for the most part. Learning from past mistakes isnt a strong suit of politicians. They would rather lie and spin. But, hey, we have to hang in there, if only to maintain our own sanity. You never know what’s around the next bend on an unfamiliar road. Bush and his merry band of marauders may go over the cliff.

I was just listening to Shrub on the radio, (I always turn it off when he talks,) & that reminded me of a song by–I think– Ruth Brown & Shamekia Copeland; part of the words say “…you can tell he’s lying if he moves his lips.” All Georgie does is jack-off at the jaws.
