Maybe this is why they ended Times Select
If the reports are true that The Times plans to make William Kristol a regular weekly columnist in 2008, God knows they would have been flooded with demands for refunds by Times Select subscribers.

I would rather stand outside in a blizzard than read William Kristol. This is like Newsweek’s stupid decision to hire that total ass, KKKarl Rove, as a columnist. I am not renewing my subscription, and I told them so. Just because he is controversial and might sell a few more magazines to the curious, doesnt mean he should be legitimized in any way. The man is corrupt. He is immoral. He is the embodiment of a dirty politician. He has ruined countless lives. The rotten piece of filth does not deserve to earn money off of his notoriety. There are not enough words in the dictionary to adequately express how obnoxious and disgusting he is. If you ever smell a nasty, foul odor nearby, look around, you will see him.

As usual, Larkrise doesn’t mince any words and tells it like it is.
That there is a forum, for these nasty men and an audience and a profit is disgusting. All the news that’s fit to print will become unfit to read. And why would they want people who have a knack for corrupting or destroying everything they touch? Who is really pulling the strings that gets a slug like rove and a maniac like kristol hired? But, I guess the scariest part is that people will pay to read the vile lies they will spew.
