Hey buddy, can you spare a dime?

The world is starting to look awful late 1920ish, isn’t it?

This brings up another of my pet peeves:churches that build, build, build extravagantly, sparing themselves no expense. Second Presbyterian, with its well-heeled members, spent 12 MILLION dollars on an addition to an already very large church. Meanwhile, the food pantries in Indianapolis are begging for food, nearly went bare 2 weeks ago, and are struggling to meet the demand. The demand is the greatest it has been since the Great Depression. Will somebody tell me what these luxurious buildings have to do with Christianity? Jesus preached on the roadside, on hills, by the Sea of Galilee. He didnt have one single Cathedral. And, with so MANY churches in Indianapolis, why are the food pantries going bare? Get off your designer-label butts folks, load up your vanity vehicle with food, and do something that might actually be Christian, like donate to a food pantry!!!!!
