I know I/we have been dead right all along. What concerns me are all the people who weren’t. How will they vote in November?

  2. armagh444 Says:

In all fairness, it should be noted that the poll in question was acknowledged to be “non-scientific” meaning it wasn’t based on sound statistical sampling principles. Then again, I have to wonder if it would be possible to construct a “scientific” poll of such a small, hyper-specialized community.

I am not an expert on the Middle East, but I do know they have a different mind set. I was wrong in one respect. I thought that Saddam would let the troops enter Bagdad without much resistence then quickly unleash whatever weapons he did have in an urban warfare where our troops would be easy targets. That didn’t happen as soon as I thought it would. But it did in some sense happen even with Saddan on the run. When PNAC presented this plan to Clinton, Clinton was right in turning it down. Bush and the planners of this unGodly war should be tried for war crimes against humanity. Those DU weapons will cause many to get cancer for years to come. Read that some of the fallout has reached as far as the UK. Our troops are going to pay dearly for years to come because of this blunder. Even the majority of people vote for democratic candidates in Nov., I do believe that the election will be fixed and the repubs will remain in control and things will just get worse. Just hope we have a paper trail in place for this upcoming election.

    Connie:

War crimes might be in the future, since SCOTUS ruled that the Bush administration violated Geneva Convention Common Article 3. (see L.A. Times article by Rosa Brooks of 6/30.) If I were anybody in this Admin, I would be hesitant to go abroad after 2008. I know Kissinger is.

  5. Weirdharold Says:

SWConnie I sure hope you are incorrect. How can we last another two years with no oversite of this Executive gone wild.

  6. SWConnie Says:

Chuck Read Rosa’s Brooks LA Times article. We can only hope. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch. Don’t think any of them will be setting foot out of the US. Not even in Canada where they are ready to arrest Bush for war crimes.

Weirdharold Hope I AM wrong. Cringe at the thought of just how much more harm this administration can do in the next two years. It is the repubs. that are America’s worse enemy in more ways than just this unjust war in Iraq that is taking it’s toll on our military, their families, the whole Iraqi population, and bringing us down in the eyes of the world.

  7. Weirdharold Says:

Connie I think you are on key with your last post. Think about the Drug And Oil profits. Think about a $250 M bridge for 50 people thanks to Sen. Stevens. However Tom DeLay is gone. Bill Frist has 6 more months. I just might vote for Trent Lott because he has a get even list that include many repugs and he should have.
