I remember in 2000 I was following the web site of the group People for the American Way http://www.pfaw.org/ before I had discovered most of the other liberal and Democratic web sites. They in particular warned about the kind of judges that Bush, as opposed to Gore, would be likely to appoint, i.e. judges in the mold of Scalia and Clarence Thomas.
